About Us
"UMED – A RAY OF HOPE"
Umed Care Centre is a project of OM Prathishthan Charitable Trust to provide care services for the bedridden, terminally ill and ambulatory patients since the year 2000. It has provided specialized health care services to more than 10000 senior citizens of bedridden & terminally ill category residing at our care center, till date.
In today's age of competition we all are constantly struggling to survive which is very much necessary to maintain our standard of living. Joint Family concept is being replaced by nuclear family and our elderly or sick member of the family is neglected. So there is need of caring people like us in the society to take care of patients suffering from Paralysis, Bed sores, Coma, fractures, Schizophrenia etc. Recognizing the need of the society, Dr. Rajaram Powar Director & Dr. Ranjana (Kadam) Powar Founder & Managing Director started 'UMED CARE CENTRE' on 7th September 2000. For the last 22 years round the clock, the care center has given 'hope' to many families by providing nursing care services for thousands of elderly, sick, bedridden grandparents.
We at UMED CARE CENTRE always try and keep the homely atmosphere, with utmost cleanliness and by well trained nursing & support staff. Right from giving morning bath, providing breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea etc.., providing timely medicines, regular checkups, yoga, exercise, Omkar Therapy music for entertainment, games, books for reading are all provided at our center.
As a social responsibility orphan old age patients are also admitted in our care center and we provides free services or on concessional rates to those who cannot afford to pay.

This level of care and supervision is for individuals who can't live without anyone else's So we take Care of him/her for 24hr.

Bed Ridden
Bedridden patient becomes vulnerable to various health complications like painful bed sores, circulation and respiratory problems, depression and contractures, due to lack of activity for long periods.
Post Operative

The need for a project like Umed is increasing day by day, so that it should have its own spacious building equipped for maximum grandparents. We have been carrying this dream for the last 20 years
Many grandparents in the community need our support. This task will be easily possible with your valuable support. We can give hope to many such needy grandparents.
In today's age of competition, our constant struggle to survive and not to be followed by an elderly or sick member of the family, we should have caring people like us in the home environment who will help us to confidently entrust our loved ones to them.
